Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He blends jazz from the soul genre with R&B in a distinct mixture. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, the singer has done work everywhere. Sunshine was born Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta however, she comes from Chester Pennsylvania where she began her music career by singing as well as playing the piano at churches. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical education began in Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan The song has been remixed by numerous producers and remains a mainstay in her live show. Her voice has also been a part of voice on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who performed on stage in the production Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, she was approached by Tyler Perry to be the choral leader for the production. Sunshine was brought to the attention of people across the nation through the four shows per day of the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being selected to perform for President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
