Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer along with Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder is a Jewish. Ryder believes that her father was from an ethnically Jewish origin. Uria Ryder is her younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County in California at the age of 7 years old. They didn't have electricity. Ryder, who read a lot at the age of 12 became a book worm due to the fact that Ryder had no access to television. Ryder began taking acting lessons in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of twelve years old. In 1986, she got her first big-screen role in the film Lucas when she was just fifteen years old. Ryder was bullied at her high school. Her hope was that acting would bring about a change. Unfortunately, that did not happen. The actress continued to chase her goals. In 1988 she had her big break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder played successful roles for several films. In 1993 she won an Academy Award in the film The Age of Innocence.
